Scoped to your move
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Silver Valley movers who know the hillside streets, the Golden Ears weekend queues, and the Maple Ridge highway permits. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
Every Silver Valley quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while you wait on a loading zone.
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.
New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.
Every Silver Valley move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.
Silver Valley sits about four-and-a-half kilometres north of the Maple Ridge town centre, running along the 232 Street corridor. The community is a hillside neighbourhood built on rolling bedrock that rises from the Alouette floodplain, with upland slopes hitting twenty degrees and steep valley cuts along the creeks. Roughly eighty percent of the area remains wooded, and the North Alouette River plus Millionaire Creek carve through the terrain. The Area Plan calls Silver Valley the gateway to Golden Ears Provincial Park and the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest. The housing stock is mostly post-two-thousands builds across four planned hamlets, with short, curving streets that define the moving logistics. We know the grades, the park traffic, and the permit process. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
The topography shapes every move here. The Silver Valley Area Plan notes complex, rolling bedrock with grades reaching twenty degrees in the developed uplands and steeper valley slopes near the creeks. The streets are short and curving, designed to fit the terrain, which means the truck often has to stage closer to the home than in flat subdivisions. We account for the slopes and the tight turns at quote time. Fern Crescent is the only road on to Golden Ears Provincial Park, and it funnels heavy traffic, especially on summer weekends. Those grades and that park traffic both matter for staging, so we plan the truck position based on the actual access at your hamlet. The work involves honest inventory, interior turns, and managing the distance from the truck on these constrained streets.
232 Street is the north-south spine, carrying all traffic down to Dewdney Trunk Road and Lougheed Highway. The centre of the neighbourhood sits roughly five or six kilometres north of Lougheed, so a move down to the highway runs the length of the corridor. Golden Ears Provincial Park draws massive crowds in the summer. BC Parks routes visitors up 232 Street and right onto Fern Crescent at the traffic circle near Maple Ridge Park. From there it is about eleven kilometres to the park gates. Day-use passes are required on Fridays through Mondays and holidays from May fifteenth to September seventh. Expect queues on Fern Crescent and 232 Street, worst between seven in the morning and one in the afternoon. We time the drive to avoid the park rush and use slow windows for loading. Drive time is an input to your flat rate, never a meter. The price we confirm before you book is the price you pay. Call or text Nash Moving for your flat-rate quote.
Growth in Silver Valley is governed by the Area Plan, so subdivisions are essentially two-thousands to two-thousands-twenties builds. The neighbourhood is split into four noncontiguous planned areas: Blaney Bog Hamlet, Forest Hamlet, Horse Hamlet, and River Village. You will find a mix of eco-cluster homes, ground-oriented multi-family, and medium-density residential on short, curving hillside streets. 132 Avenue is the east-west connector between 232 Street and Fern Crescent. The street layout is dense and winding, which can limit parking for the moving truck. We check the street width and parking realities near your address when we scope the move. River Village has a mixed-use node and a small commercial area, while the hamlets are primarily residential. The newer stock means tighter lots and modern staircases, but the moving logistics still depend on the specific access at your door.
Maple Ridge requires a Highway Use Permit when an activity impacts City roads, boulevards, or sidewalks. The City lists temporary storage such as bins or containers, along with oversize vehicle movements, so a street-parked truck or a container on the road falls under it. Applications are online only, through citizenportal.mapleridge.ca, with no paper or email route. The city requires a certificate of insurance with five million dollars of liability naming the City as additional insured, a cross-liability clause, and a thirty-day cancellation notice. Allow five to ten business days. The fee is set under the Fees and Charges Bylaw, Schedule A, and the amount is not published, so it gets confirmed at application. Questions go to the Engineering Department at 604-467-7339 or Engineering@MapleRidge.ca. We do not guess about the rules; we confirm the permit status when you book. If you need a permit, we guide you through the application. The flat rate covers the move itself. Any permit fees or insurance costs are separate and handled directly with the city.
Maple Ridge Park sits at the Fern Crescent and 232 Street traffic circle and serves as a southern anchor for the community. Yennadon Elementary is at 23347 128 Avenue. There are no recurring events verified inside Silver Valley. The City's events cluster downtown around Memorial Peace Park. The real summer crowd driver for Silver Valley is Golden Ears day-use demand. We plan moves around the park traffic, not a local festival calendar. The neighbourhood is quiet, focused on the forest access and the hillside living. We keep the plan simple and focused on your home.

Silver Valley sits on rolling bedrock with upland slopes to twenty degrees and steep valley cuts along the creeks. The streets are short and curving, which can limit parking and require closer staging. We scope the grade and the street width at quote time. The truck position depends on the actual access at your hamlet. Fern Crescent is the only road on to Golden Ears Provincial Park, so it carries park traffic on top of local traffic. We plan the staging to avoid blocking the corridor and to fit the truck safely on the hillside streets. The slopes are reflected in the flat rate.
