The Nash guarantee

One price. In writing. Before we lift a thing.

Every White Rock quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while the elevator's stuck.

Scoped to your move

No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.

Confirmed by a human

Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.

If plans change

New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.

How Nash moves you

Crates first. Furniture second.

Every White Rock move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.

White Rock packs two very different moves into five square kilometres. Down on Marine Drive you are working around beach traffic, angle parking, and the busiest promenade on the Semiahmoo Peninsula. Up the hill it is quiet residential streets, condo towers around Johnston Road, and some of the steepest blocks a moving truck sees anywhere in Metro Vancouver. We plan for whichever half of White Rock you live in, and the flat rate reflects your actual street, not an average one.

The hill is the story

Everything in White Rock happens on a slope. The grid climbs hard from the water up to Thrift Avenue and North Bluff Road, and Johnston Road itself is a gear-down hill. That grade decides where a loaded truck can park safely, which direction it should face, and how the crew stages furniture.

We scope the slope at quote time. On the steepest blocks we position on the flattest stretch available, sometimes a cross street, and plan the carry from there. Homes that sit above or below the road with long exterior staircases are normal here, and the stairs are priced into the flat rate up front. Nobody enjoys discovering a forty-step flight on move day. We ask first.

Marine Drive, East Beach and West Beach

The waterfront strip is a summer institution, which makes it a summer problem for moving trucks. Between the beach crowds, the promenade foot traffic, and parking enforcement that does not miss much, a mid-afternoon July move on Marine Drive is a bad plan.

Our answer is timing. Beach-side moves get early starts, a pre-planned loading spot, and a crew that knows the truck cannot simply idle in the angle parking. Off-season, the strip is easy, and the same move gets simpler and often cheaper to schedule.

Uptown condos and downsizer moves

The area around Johnston Road, Thrift Avenue, and Five Corners holds most of White Rock's condo stock, from older three-storey walk-ups to the newer towers. A lot of our White Rock work is downsizing: a family house on the hillside into a two-bedroom uptown, close to everything.

Condo moves run on strata rules. Elevator bookings, certificates of insurance, loading bay time limits. We handle the paperwork we can handle, tell you exactly what to request from your building, and verify the elevator dimensions so the sofa question is answered before the truck leaves the depot.

Across the line into South Surrey

White Rock is wrapped by South Surrey on every side but the sea, so most moves cross the city line at North Bluff Road without anyone noticing. Ocean Park, Crescent Beach, Grandview Heights, and the Semiahmoo Town Centre area are all effectively local moves. Longer runs up Highway 99 to Vancouver, Richmond, or the North Shore are where the drive becomes a real input, and we schedule those crossings outside the peak so the clock works for you.

What a White Rock move costs

The price is a flat rate built from your actual inventory and your actual access: the slope of your block, the stairs to your door, the elevator window at the destination, the distance of the drive. It is confirmed by a real person before you book, and it does not change on move day.

White Rock questions

Asked before booking in White Rock.

My street is one of those steep hillside blocks. Can a moving truck even work there?

Yes, with planning. White Rock's grid between Marine Drive and Thrift Avenue is one of the steepest in Metro Vancouver, and a loaded truck parks differently on a grade. We scope the slope and the parking at quote time, chock and position the truck properly, and if your block is too steep to stage safely we park on the nearest flat cross street and plan the carry. The carry distance is part of your flat rate, not a surprise on the day.

How bad is Marine Drive for a summer move?

In July and August, genuinely bad. Beach traffic crawls, the angle parking fills by mid-morning, and enforcement along the strip is quick. For East Beach and West Beach addresses we book early morning starts so the truck is in place before the crowds, and we plan the loading spot ahead of time instead of circling for one.

Do the uptown condo buildings need an elevator booking?

Almost always. The towers and newer buildings around Johnston Road and Thrift Avenue require an elevator reservation and often a certificate of insurance before they will confirm it. The strata only takes bookings from residents, so we tell you exactly what to ask for, send the insurance certificate ourselves, and schedule the crew around your slot.

Is a move between White Rock and South Surrey a long-distance move?

No. White Rock is a small city surrounded by South Surrey, and the boundary at North Bluff Road is a street, not a journey. Moves to Ocean Park, Grandview Heights, or anywhere on the Semiahmoo Peninsula are short hauls and priced as such. Distance is an input to the flat rate, so a five-minute drive costs like a five-minute drive.

The house is below street level with a long staircase. Does that change the price?

It changes the work, so it is scoped into the price before you book rather than billed after. Plenty of hillside homes here sit above or below the road with a serious exterior flight. Stairs mean time, and time is what a flat rate is built from. Tell us about the stairs when you get your quote, and the number you see is the number you pay.
