Scoped to your move
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Killarney movers who know Champlain Heights leasehold rules, River District elevator bookings, and the Marine Way truck corridor. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
Every Killarney quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while you wait on a loading zone.
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.
New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.
Every Killarney move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.
Killarney covers a distinct stretch of southeast Vancouver with moving realities that vary by block. The neighbourhood blends the steep, planned curves of Champlain Heights with the vertical density of the River District, and a core grid of postwar houses and Vancouver Specials that often hide basement suites. Every part of Killarney brings different constraints. Champlain Heights requires navigating internal lanes and leasehold strata rules. The River District demands strict adherence to concierge protocols and elevator windows. The older grid homes rely on interior stairs and long carries through lower levels.
Nash Moving plans for all of these variables before move day. You get one flat rate that covers the actual logistics, whether you are shifting a suite in a Vancouver Special, moving between townhouses in Champlain Heights, or coordinating a high-rise move at the River District.
Champlain Heights is one of the last parts of Vancouver to be urbanized, and the layout reflects that. The area consists largely of 1970s and 1980s townhouse and co-op complexes built on City-owned leasehold land. These buildings sit on internal lanes and shared parking areas where truck placement is controlled by strata rules.
We check the specific bylaws for your complex before move day so we know exactly where the truck can stage and how to avoid blocking internal routes. The strata management will often require our crew to follow strict parking boundaries. We coordinate with the property manager to secure the right access point and ensure the truck sits in a legal position without disrupting residents. The curved roads and cul-de-sacs also mean the truck might need to position a few blocks away in some complexes. We plan the carry path so the distance is known and included in the flat rate.
The River District occupies the riverfront below Marine Way and features new concrete towers and hundreds of townhomes. This is vertical territory where elevator bookings and concierge rules dictate the entire schedule. Buildings in the River District often require a certificate of insurance naming the strata before they will confirm an elevator window. Send us the strata's name when you book and we issue it ahead of time.
We cannot book the elevator for you, but we tell you exactly what to ask your concierge for, how long a window your move needs, and then we schedule the crew to match the slot you get. Loading bays and access lanes in the River District can be tight, especially near Town Centre where weekend events add congestion. We position the truck legally and stage inventory efficiently so the crew works the whole time. The River District also includes District House, a community landmark where local activity can impact nearby streets. We account for those patterns when planning the drive.
Getting to and from Killarney often involves Marine Way, Kerr Street, and Boundary Road. Marine Way serves as the main truck corridor along the southern edge, carrying heavy commuter and commercial flow toward Burnaby. Kerr Street drops steeply from the Champlain Heights plateau down to Marine Way. Loaded trucks take that grade slowly. Our crew manages the descent with care and plans the route to avoid the worst of the traffic.
Boundary Road and 49th Avenue are the primary arterials, and rush-hour stopping restrictions apply along these routes. We schedule moves to work around the peak flows and position the truck on the quiet side streets whenever the address allows. The drive to the Fraser River or across to the River District funnels through Marine Way at Kerr and Boundary. We know the choke points and plan the timing to keep the move on schedule.
The Killarney grid is defined by postwar houses, Vancouver Specials, and a few 1920s farmhouse-era heritage homes. Many of these properties have basement suites, which changes the moving dynamic. A suite move often involves interior stairs and long carries through the lower level. We scope the interior layout and the number of flights before you book. The flat rate includes the time and effort required for interior carries and stairs. There is no per-metre fee waiting at the end.
If you are moving the entire house, the inventory is larger, and the quote reflects the total scope. The basement suites also mean we need to know if the street parking is restricted, because a suite move might require a larger truck or a specific permit to hold the curb for multiple loads.
If your truck or container needs to occupy a city street, you will need a temporary street occupancy permit from the City of Vancouver. The city needs 7 to 10 business days after payment to post the signs. If your move is in 5 to 7 days, we can email the city engineering team, but approval is not guaranteed. We tell you whether your address needs a permit and what information you need, such as the address, hundred block, existing restrictions, and six-digit meter IDs if the spot is metered.
We arrange the permit when you book so the crew arrives to a legal spot. Residents moving in or out are exempt from the permit's insurance requirement, and we file a certificate naming the City as required.
Most Killarney work involves local shifts: downsizing from a Vancouver Special into a suite, moving between townhouses in Champlain Heights, or upgrading within the River District. There is also steady traffic to other parts of the city for larger homes or to suburbs for yards. We check the access on both ends, schedule around the arterials, and confirm one flat rate before you book. Whether you are near Champlain Square, by the Killarney Community Centre, or in a River District tower, we plan the move to match the address.

Champlain Heights relies on internal lanes and shared parking areas governed by strata rules. We check the specific bylaws for your complex before move day so we know exactly where the truck can park and how to stage without blocking internal routes. We work with the strata or property manager to secure the right access point and ensure our crew follows the parking restrictions that apply to the leasehold land.
We cannot book the elevator for you, as buildings require residents or owners to make that request. What we do is tell you exactly what to ask for, how many hours you actually need based on your inventory, and then we schedule the crew to match the window you get. If the building demands a certificate of insurance naming the strata, send us the details and we issue it ahead of time. We also confirm the concierge protocol so there are no surprises at the door.
Kerr Street drops steeply from the Champlain Heights plateau down to Marine Way. Loaded trucks take that grade slowly and carefully. We plan the route to account for the steep descent and the heavy traffic on Marine Way, which acts as the main truck corridor with heavy commuter flow to Burnaby. The crew moves at a pace that keeps the load stable and respects the road conditions.
Many Killarney homes are Vancouver Specials or have basement suites, which often means interior stairs and long carries through lower levels. We scope those features before you book. Interior flights and the layout of the unit are built into the flat rate. Whether you are moving just the main floor or the entire house, the quote reflects the actual stairs and carrying paths we will use.
If your truck needs to occupy a city street, you will need a temporary street occupancy permit from the City of Vancouver. We tell you whether your address requires one and what information you need, such as meter IDs or existing restrictions. Because the city needs 7 to 10 business days to post signs, we arrange the permit when you book rather than on move day. Residents moving in or out are exempt from the insurance requirement, and we file a certificate naming the City as required.
