Scoped to your move
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
City Centre movers who know the tower boom, SkyTrain station logistics, Holland Park event closures, and the King George/104 Ave traffic. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
Every City Centre quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while you wait on a loading zone.
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.
New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.
Every City Centre move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.
City Centre is the densest of Surrey's town centres and the only one served by SkyTrain. Locals still call the wider area Whalley, named after Arthur Whalley who opened a service station at the corner in 1925. The core sits on the axis of King George Boulevard and 104 Avenue. You will find a mix of brand new high-rises, the older low-rise fabric along the corridors, and the civic buildings that anchor the district. The tower boom has changed the logistics here. Many new addresses have off-street loading and elevator bookings that dictate the move schedule. Older buildings require street staging and careful carry planning. Nash Moving plans for every type of building in the district. Your flat rate covers the route, the staging, the carry, and the elevator coordination. We confirm the price before you book.
Tower moves hinge on the building systems, not the street. Most new towers have off-street loading bays, which removes the need for a street parking permit. The real constraint is the elevator. You need to book the freight elevator with your strata management or building concierge. We coordinate our arrival with that booking window. The loading bay access and elevator capacity determine the pace of the load. We also check for certificate of insurance requirements from the strata. Nash Moving carries the coverage needed for most City Centre towers. We tell you exactly what the building asks for during the quote so there is no delay on move day. The rate includes the time spent waiting for the elevator and moving furniture through the secure lobby.
King George Boulevard is the spine of the district and feeds the Pattullo crossing. The new four-lane stal'ew'asem Bridge fully opened in January 2026. The old Pattullo closed to vehicles in February 2026. Traffic patterns have shifted, and we route accordingly. 104 Avenue carries the R1 RapidBus. The corridor is busy with transit and general traffic. There is also constant construction near Surrey Central Station, King George Station, and Gateway Station. Closed curb lanes, cranes, and hoarding are the norm. Whalley Boulevard runs parallel to King George and offers a calmer route through the area. We use the side streets to bypass the heavy construction zones and avoid idling in bottlenecks. If your building fronts King George or 104 Avenue, we plan the staging on a side street to keep the crew moving safely.
City Centre includes older housing stock alongside the towers. You will find low-rise walk-up rentals and townhomes along the corridors. Moves out of these older buildings are routine. Street parking is first come, first served where no limit is posted, and the seventy two hour maximum applies. Emergency vehicles always need a clear travel lane past the truck. On narrower local streets, this often means parking on one side only. The truck parks at a legal stretch or corner, and the carry distance to the door is measured. We scope the narrow stairwells, the lack of elevators, and the path from the curb. The actual walk is part of the flat rate. We do not charge extra for distance. The price you confirm covers the walk from the legal parking spot to the front door.
Surrey rules are straightforward. A legally parked truck needs no permit. A Traffic Obstruction Permit applies only when the truck obstructs a road, cycling, or pedestrian facility. Minor local-road obstructions skip the traffic-plan drawings. Trucks over five thousand kilograms must park in designated zones except while actively loading or unloading. Vehicles over eleven thousand eight hundred kilograms stay on the Truck Route Network except for shortest-route local deliveries. Nash Moving knows the designated zones and the legal parking stretches. We position the truck to comply with all weight and obstruction rules. We handle any necessary permit bookings at the time you schedule. You do not need to worry about fines or waiting for a tow truck. The crew arrives, the truck is legal, and the move starts.
City Centre hosts large events that affect traffic and parking. Holland Park is the central park and hosts Surrey Fusion Festival on a mid-July weekend. The festival runs two days with cultural pavilions and stages. Expect closures around the park. Civic Plaza hosts Party for the Planet in late April and the Surrey Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market on a holiday-season weekend. The tree lighting includes a skating rink and artisan market. These events bring street closures and heavy pedestrian traffic near Civic Plaza and Holland Park. We check the community event calendar during the quote. If your move dates land near an event, we adjust the schedule or the staging location to avoid the closures. The flat rate covers the planning so the move stays on track.
The district is anchored by Central City mall and the tower above it, City Hall at 13450 104 Avenue, the City Centre Library, and the Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre at 13458 107A Avenue. KPU Civic Plaza campus sits nearby. Georgetown by Anthem is a large fourteen point four acre master plan with nine towers plus three mid-rises and townhomes. The project is selling in phases with build-out estimated around 2030. Large developments like Georgetown have their own loading protocols and gate access rules. The King George Hub mixes offices and homes and requires different logistics than residential towers. Nash Moving handles moves in every part of the district, from the old walk-ups to the new Georgetown phases. We work with the gate access rules, the concierge desks, and the access paths.
