Scoped to your move
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Klahanie movers who know the Murray St entrances, the three-to-six storey strata, St Johns connector footway, and Port Moody highway permits. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
Every Klahanie quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while you wait on a loading zone.
No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.
Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.
New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.
Every Klahanie move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.
Klahanie sits between Murray Street and St Johns Street, just west of Suter Brook. Nominatim files the area under Eagle Ridge. The development is a master-planned strata polygon where every vehicle entrance is off Murray Street. Klahanie Drive is posted at 30 km/h with 15 km/h sections and two signed no-exit ends. The neighbourhood offers a mix of terraces and apartments within a walkable distance of Inlet Centre Station and Rocky Point Park. Moving here means navigating strata protocols, Murray Street staging, and Port Moody permit rules. One flat rate, confirmed up front.
Murray Street is the only way in for a moving truck. There are four junctions along Murray plus a west spur by 55 Klahanie that provides direct access to the development. Murray Street is a secondary road with two to four lanes and a 50 km/h speed limit. It serves as the main route to Rocky Point Park, so it carries brewery-row traffic and weekend crowds heading west. The internal streets follow a 30 km/h posted speed with 15 km/h sections, and two signed no-exit ends limit through traffic. The southern boundary runs along St Johns Street, which is a primary arterial with four to six lanes, also posted at 50 km/h. The complex multi-lane intersection at Barnet Highway and Ioco Road lies just east at Inlet Centre. We route carefully to avoid the arterial tangle and time the arrival to match the quiet windows on Murray. Drive time is an input to your flat rate, never a meter. The price we confirm before you book is the price you pay. Call or text Nash Moving for your flat-rate quote.
Klahanie is a dense strata polygon with a mix of townhomes and apartments. The building stock includes three-storey terraces like Indigo at 100 Klahanie and Currents at 301 Klahanie. The apartment blocks run four storeys high, including Salal at 200, Tides at 300, 400, and 500, Boardwalk at 600 and 700, The Lodge at 701, and 801. The tallest verified building is 55 Klahanie at six storeys, and 101 Klahanie is a two-storey retail building. Moves in Klahanie never involve a tower dock; the stock is mid-rise. That means an apartment move usually runs through a booked service elevator rather than a loading bay, and each strata sets its own booking rules, so we confirm them with your council or property manager instead of assuming. The terraces and townhome sections often rely on stair-only carries, so we scope the stairs and the interior turns at quote time. The flat rate covers the elevator waits, the paperwork, and the careful handling of the strata layouts. We confirm the loading access and the building rules when you book.
Port Moody has strict rules for moving trucks and storage containers on city streets. A Highway Use Permit is required under the Street, Traffic and Public Places Bylaw No. 1528-C. Applications are online only at forms.portmoody.ca, and the request must be submitted at least 10 working days before the start date. The city requires $5 million liability coverage with the City of Port Moody named as co-insured, plus a 30-day cancellation notice. The 2026 fees under Fees Bylaw 3524, amended by Bylaw 3543, set the charge for the Local Road Network at $271.84 for the first week, which is also the minimum, then $135.92 per week after that. Major Road Network work is $447.74 per week. A residential bin on the right-of-way costs $106.00 per month. Port Moody Engineering handles permit questions at engineering@portmoody.ca or 604-469-4500. We advise on the permit process early and confirm the insurance and staging plan so there are no delays on move day.
The area sees seasonal traffic from events at Rocky Point Park and along St Johns Street. Car-Free Day closes St Johns Street between Queens and Moody streets on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 12 noon to 5 pm. The Art Out Side Festival runs August 7 to 16, 2026 in outdoor spaces across the city. Summer Sundays concerts continue through the season with dates on August 9, 16, 23, and 30. A free Shoreline Shuttle runs from Rocky Point Park on those Sundays. Pay parking covers Murray Street from Columbia to the 2900 block, as well as the Rocky Point lots and Suter Brook streets, but Klahanie Drive itself is not in the pay zone. The southern boundary of Klahanie connects to St Johns Street via the St Johns Klahanie Connector, which is a footway and cycleway with steps. This provides a pedestrian link but no vehicle access. If your move date lands on an event weekend, we review the calendar and adjust the staging plan to keep the truck clear. The flat rate covers the move regardless of the traffic conditions, so we schedule the drive to keep your move efficient.
Real photos from real Nash moves. Whatever's odd-shaped in your Klahanie place, it goes in the plan the same as the couch.

Thank you Nash Moving for helping myself and my many clients move!
Every vehicle entrance is off Murray Street. The southern link via the St Johns Klahanie Connector is a footway and cycleway with steps, so no truck route exists there. We stage the truck on Murray Street or a nearby legal zone. The flat rate covers the carry from the curb to your door, so we find the best staging spot on Murray and navigate the four junctions plus the west spur.
