The Nash guarantee

One price. In writing. Before we lift a thing.

Every Inlet Centre quote is a flat rate scoped to your move: what you own, the access at both ends, and the distance between them. No hourly meter ticking while you wait on a loading zone.

Scoped to your move

No one-size price list. Your rate reflects your inventory, your stairs, your parking, and your kilometres.

Confirmed by a human

Someone who has carried a couch up a Vancouver walk-up reviews every quote before it goes out. The price we confirm is the price you pay.

If plans change

New couch? Extra stop? We review the price with you before move day. Nothing changes without a conversation.

How Nash moves you

Crates first. Furniture second.

Every Inlet Centre move packs the same way: our uniform tubs fill the truck floor to ceiling, wall to wall, then the furniture goes in. No loose boxes stacked on your couch.

Inlet Centre marks the civic and transit-oriented core of Port Moody, sitting above the east end of Burrard Inlet. The area is defined by the Inlet Centre SkyTrain station below grade at 2300 Barnet Highway, the NewPort Village and Suter Brook Village residential complexes, and the City Hall block across Ioco Road. Moves here involve modern podium-and-tower buildings, strict parking and elevator protocols, and traffic management around the Barnet Highway spine. We handle the logistics of these dense communities and the new builds at Coronation Park. One flat rate, confirmed up front.

Podium-and-tower protocols and elevator access

The housing stock in Inlet Centre consists of podium-and-tower structures with underground parkades. NewPort Village was built from the mid-1990s onwards, featuring low-rises and high-rises with street-level shops. Suter Brook Village sits just north of the station around Brew Street and includes mid-rise and tower strata. Every move in these buildings requires coordination with the strata or concierge. You must book the service elevator and the loading bay in advance. Tall moving trucks often cannot clear the parkade height limits, which forces a street stage and an interior carry. We check the clearance and the loading route with building management before the crew arrives. The flat rate covers the elevator waits, the carries, and the labour to get your furniture to your door. Call or text Nash Moving to confirm your building's specific protocol.

NewPort Village and Suter Brook layouts

NewPort Village is located at Newport Drive and Ioco Road, with streets laid out to serve the mixed-use development. Suter Brook Village is anchored by Brew Street and offers a mix of mid-rise and tower living. Both communities share similar architectural styles and access challenges. The podium levels often house retail or amenities, while the towers rise above with residential units. Moving into these buildings involves navigating shared corridors and secure entry points. We follow the building's access rules and work with the concierge to ensure a smooth transition. The flat rate applies to both low-rise and high-rise moves, so the price does not change based on floor level or building style. We scope the access details at quote time and lock in the cost.

Barnet Highway, Ioco Road, and transit staging

Traffic management is key around Inlet Centre. Barnet Highway is the Major Road Network spine and carries heavy through traffic. Ioco Road crosses Barnet Highway at the station and provides the link between the civic block and NewPort Village. The station entrance and the curb at Ioco Road are transit-priority zones, serving the 160, 183, 184, and N9 bus routes, along with HandyDART. We never stage on the transit-priority curb at the station. We also avoid blocking the bus exchange during peak hours. Guildford Way runs east toward Coquitlam and connects to the local grid. We time the drive to avoid the arterial peaks and stage the truck in a safe spot that allows efficient loading. The flat rate includes the drive time and local staging, so you pay the same price whether we move you on a quiet morning or a busy afternoon.

Coronation Park and Inlet District moves

The Inlet District development at Coronation Park is changing the landscape west of Balmoral Drive and south of Guildford Drive. Phase A, which includes Buildings 1, 2, and 2A, is under construction as of August 2026. The City's 2022 official community plan amendment contemplates further towers on the site, but the later phases are applications only at this point, with no completion dates. Moving into a new build in the Inlet District involves specific site rules. Construction sites often have restricted delivery windows, specific unloading areas, and strict safety requirements. We coordinate with the site management to confirm the delivery route and elevator access. We treat new developments with care for the finishes and follow all site protocols. The flat rate covers the coordination and the move, so you get a predictable price for a new build job. Call or text for a quote.

Port Moody permits and highway rules

Port Moody has clear rules for working on city streets. If a moving truck or container blocks traffic or occupies the right-of-way, you need a Highway Use Permit under Street, Traffic and Public Places Bylaw No. 1528-C, and the application is online only at forms.portmoody.ca. You must apply at least 10 working days before the move. The city requires $5,000,000 liability coverage with the City named as co-insured and a 30-day cancellation notice. The 2026 fees under Fees Bylaw 3524, as amended by 3543, set the cost at $271.84 for the first week on the Local Road Network, which is also the minimum, then $135.92 per week after. The Major Road Network costs $447.74 per week. A residential bin on the right-of-way is $106.00 per month. Port Moody Engineering handles permit questions at engineering@portmoody.ca or 604-469-4500, and the office is at 100 Newport Drive. We advise on the permit process when you book and help you navigate the requirements. The flat rate covers the move, and we help you manage the street rules.

Civic block and theatre area

The civic block sits across Ioco Road and includes City Hall, the Civic Centre Complex, the library, and Inlet Theatre and the Galleria at 100 Newport Drive. This area draws pedestrian activity and event traffic. Events like the Art Out Side Festival from 7 to 16 August 2026, the Port Moody Comedy Classic on 14 August 2026, or Lux Aeterna's Musical Review on 16 August 2026 can bring crowds to Newport Drive. The Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Road also adds activity to the Ioco Road corridor. We check the event calendar for your move date and adjust our staging plan to avoid congestion near the civic buildings. If your move lands on a busy event day, we find the best access route without charging extra. The flat rate ensures you get the same service and price regardless of the local calendar. Call or text Nash Moving for your flat-rate quote.

Inlet Centre questions

Asked before booking in Inlet Centre.

My building has an underground parkade. Will the moving truck go inside?

Many podium-and-tower buildings in NewPort Village and Suter Brook have height restrictions that tall moving trucks cannot clear. We check the parkade clearance with the strata or concierge before the move. If the truck cannot enter, we stage at the curb and carry items inside. We book the service elevator and confirm the loading route with the building management early so your move day runs smoothly. Call or text Nash Moving to check your building's protocol.

How do I get a permit for a moving truck or container?

Port Moody requires a Highway Use Permit under Street, Traffic and Public Places Bylaw No. 1528-C if the truck or container blocks traffic or uses the right-of-way. Applications are online only at forms.portmoody.ca, with a 10-working-day lead time. You need $5,000,000 liability coverage naming the City as co-insured, plus 30-day cancellation notice. The 2026 fee on the Local Road Network is $271.84 for the first week, which is also the minimum. We explain the process and help you coordinate with engineering at engineering@portmoody.ca or 604-469-4500.

Is Barnet Highway busy during the move?

Barnet Highway is the Major Road Network spine and carries the through traffic for the region. Ioco Road crosses it and links the civic block to NewPort Village. The area around Inlet Centre station is also a bus exchange, so the curb at Ioco Road is transit-priority. We stage the truck away from the bus exchange and plan the route to avoid the major road congestion. Our flat rate covers the drive time and local staging, so we get you moved efficiently without added costs.

I am moving into a new build near Coronation Park. What should I expect?

The Inlet District development at Coronation Park includes new podium-and-tower buildings, with Phase A under construction as of August 2026. New builds often have strict construction site rules, specific delivery windows, and concierge check-in procedures. We coordinate directly with site management to confirm the delivery route and elevator access. We treat new developments with care for the finishes and follow all site safety protocols included in your flat rate.

Do events at Inlet Theatre affect the move?

Inlet Theatre and the Galleria at 100 Newport Drive host events like the Port Moody Comedy Classic on 14 August 2026 and Lux Aeterna's Musical Review on 16 August 2026. The Art Out Side Festival also runs city-wide from 7 to 16 August 2026. The Civic Centre complex draws parking and pedestrian activity on Newport Drive. We check the event calendar for your move date and adjust our staging plan to avoid congestion near the theatre and city hall. If your move lands on a busy event day, we find the best access route while keeping your flat rate unchanged. Call or text for a quote.
